Faculty and staff within the College of Education recognize that our students are competent, committed and reflective individuals who have excelled during their academic and pre-professional careers. In recognition of the high caliber of students who study and prepare for the workforce through the College of Education, numerous undergraduate scholarship awards are available.
The College of Education is no longer accepting undergraduate scholarship applications for the 2008-2009 academic year.
We encourage anyone interested in undergraduate scholarship opportunities for the 2009-2010 academic year to revisit this website for updated application information. The online application will be available in December 1, 2008. Deadline for submission is January 31, 2009.
While some of our undergraduate scholarships are based solely on merit; others are based on merit and financial need. We encourage everyone to complete the free
federal application

for financial aid (FAFSA) which is required for consideration to scholarships based on financial need. Students must complete the FAFSA form each year to be considered for need-based scholarship opportunities.
The awarding of assistantships and fellowships for graduate students are handled through specific departments within the College of Education. Please contact your appropriate department head to inquire about graduate scholarship opportunities.
The U.S. Department of Education recently released regulations regarding a new grant opportunity for students pursuing a degree in education. The program provides grant funds for postsecondary students who are completing coursework in a federally designated critical- need area of education and agree to serve for at least four-years as a full-time, highly qualified teacher in a low-income school. Eligible students may receive up to $4,000 per year in TEACH Grant funds. Failure to complete the service agreement will result in the grant being converted to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford/Ford Loan in which you must repay in full, with interest. Eligibility requirements for the TEACH Grant at Auburn University may be found online. Since this opportunity is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, we encourage you to visit the Federal Teach Grant site for more detailed information concerning this opportunity.
